City of Mesa Google Fiber Install at Albany Village

Dear Residents,

We want to provide an update regarding the fiber work currently taking place in and around the community.

First, the Board and Management were not notified in advance that this work would be starting, and we were unaware the project was beginning.

Please note that the main roadway is owned and maintained by the City of Mesa. Because of this, the City has the authority to approve and allow this work to proceed. The Association does not own or maintain the main roadway and therefore cannot enforce restrictions or control the work being performed there. The Association only owns and maintains the roadways located between the garages, and those are the only roadways where the Association has enforcement authority. If you experience issues related to the main roadway, we strongly encourage you to report them directly to the City of Mesa. Resident reports are the best way to ensure concerns are addressed and improvements are made.

We also wanted to share an update from our conversation with the project representatives. We spoke with Saxon from Congruex who is doing the work, who advised us that door hangers were distributed approximately 10 days ago and cones were placed about 48 hours prior to the start of work. They will confirm where vehicles are being towed, if towing is occurring, and we will pass this information along to the community as soon as it is available.

According to the company doing the work, crews will continue working in the area throughout the weekend; however, they will not be working inside Albany Village over the weekend.

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive additional information.

On Behalf of the Board,

Heywood Community Management
